Downtown Parade of Lights


The 22nd annual downtown Parade of Lights is a Tucson tradition with proceeds benefitting local charities. Last year, there were over 25,000 parade attendees, the biggest in history, and 2016 is slated to be even bigger and better than ever. With over 1,800 participants in the parade, impressive floats, loads of treats, fun, dancing and music, come downtown on December 17th, and be treated to the real Tucson holiday spirit.


It’s the perfect tradition for couples, families, and travelers looking to engage with the local community. Enjoy performances and, giveaways, and vendors throughout the parade route are offering seasonal treats and drinks. Hosted by the Downtown Tucson Partnership, local businesses and organizations compete for the best floats and performances.

A Downtown Tradition

On the day of the parade and throughout December, you can find great deals and specials at downtown businesses. The parade route marches down Stone Avenue, crosses Ochoa and 12th Street, then eases down 6th Avenue before ending at 13th Street. Shops including Celebrations Party Spot, Don’s Hot Rod Shop and Tommy’s are all perfectly positioned along the route and are offering December deals.
