Visit the famous under-glass environment that was one of the most important and exciting projects of the 1990’s. Biosphere 2 offers daily tours of its three-acre, closed system ecology project that features rain forest, ocean, savanna, desert, and marsh ecosystems.

Opened to the public in the spring of 2002, a $200,000 trail system was installed to facilitate access to this amazing structure. The fully guided tours take you on a journey through most of Biosphere 2's wilderness ecosystems, beginning in the human habitat. [Top]


Experience Tropical Environments at Biosphere 2. You’ll see living quarters, the kitchen and the farm area where residents grew their crops, then tour to the wilderness areas of Biosphere 2.

Experience first hand the tropical environments of this engineering marvel, when you walk through the tropical savanna, gaze down a 40-foot ocean cliff to the million gallon tropical ocean, and stroll across a savanna through the costal fog desert.
