Old Tucson Studios

Aptly named, this pet-friendly attraction is the hub of where those old spaghetti westerns took place and where classic movie lovers can get whisked back in time to an intriguing Hollywood era—well outside of Hollywood! Open Saturdays and Sundays in August from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m., you’ll find saloons to discover, gunfights happening in the street, film history tours, and plenty of rides and games for all ages. Explore the living history presentations, or slip into one of the saloon musicals for a memorable performance.

Antique cars are on train tracks, ready for you to jump in and experience what it was like to be one of the first automobile owners in the country. The C.P. Huntington Train is a narrated trip through old Tucson and through the gorgeous Arizona desert. Shoot the Gun that Won the Wild West at Dead Eye Dan’s Shooting Gallery is a mouthful, but a stop where you can shoot a real Colt 45 loaded with rubber bullets.

The West Has Won

The Wild West Carousel is a flawless reproduction of an antique ride that’s suitable for riders of all ages. The Iron Door Mine “haunted” saloon will show you the darker underbelly of western life. You can also pan for gold and strike it rich while becoming a proprietor and discovering the thrill of the gold rush days.

Trail rides along the 40-acre property on a horse of your choosing and the old West stagecoach tour are both great ways to get in touch with nature and take advantage of some of the best photo opportunities in town. Hold onto your hat, because this is one trip you won’t want to miss!
