Valentine’s Day in Tucson


If you’re in gorgeous Tucson for Valentine’s Day, take advantage of the weather, and plan a picnic under the stars. It’s warm enough this time of year for an intimate dinner “out” for two. Bring a blanket, pick up some local chocolates and take-out, and plan for an evening of cuddling at Reid Park, Sabino Canyon or another local park. Rent a truck, and make a true bed amongst the stars to really up the comfort quotient.

Light Up the Night

The Light Beyond the Bulb exhibit at Flandrau Planetarium takes place throughout the month of February, and on Valentine’s Day you can visit from 10 a.m. – 10 p.m. Admission is $14 for adults and $10 for students. In celebration of the International Year of Light, Flandrau is displaying incredible photographs that show off the beauty of light.

From the sun to a candle, lamps to lighters, bringing and sharing warmth is at the heart of this exhibit. Humans are naturally drawn to light, and it’s a very romantic element. Light in all its forms help us explore, love and grow. What better way to spend V-Day?
