Visit Tucson’s Patagonia

Patagonia Lake State Park is a stunner in Arizona, just a few miles from your downtown Tucson hotel. In between checking out the Air Space Museum, football games at the U of A Sports Complex, and the Old Tucson Studios, make time for peace, relaxation, and one of the most beautiful hikes of your life. Reservations for campgrounds are available 24/7, and bird walks take place throughout the autumn and winter months. Ask your Royal Sun hotel staff for help with reservations, or schedule your own campground, RV site, or bird tour online.

Junior Ranger activities are held Saturdays at 2pm in the Visitor Center, so families on vacation can ensure little ones become certified experts on all things Patagonia. The park was established in 1975 and is known for the gorgeous shorelines, white tailed deer, and blue herons. Birding is big here, and there’s an online list of the most recent sightings for inspiration.

Park It Right Here

Enjoy the beach, tables and grills, trails, boat ramps, and a marina for all your recreational pleasure. The Lakeside Market is on site for your convenience, and it’s the perfect place to find boat rentals, bait, and all the accessories you need for a memorable experience.

The lake is ripe with bass, catfish, bluegill, and crappie for fishermen and women, and as one of the best state parks in Arizona, you’ll always find something new to fall in love with at Patagonia.
