Your Tucson Haunted House Guide

Haunted houses abound in Tucson—at least during the Halloween season! This October, take a tour of one of the many chilling abodes, starting with the Sanctum of Horror in nearby Mesa. It’s one of the freakiest, most renowned experiences in the Tucson area. Through the eyes of Lenore, an unfortunate little girl with a violent past, you’ll need to navigate the crumbling walls of her childhood home and re-live the murder of her family. Can you take the reins and help Lenore escape a fate worse than death?

Haunts at Trail Dust Town of Tucson is one of the most family-friendly and beloved of haunted experiences in town. It’s rated just “a little scary,” making it suitable for all ages and the perfect pre-trick or treating tradition. Presented by Ravenhearse Family, the traditional Victorian event takes you back to an Old World type of haunt. Check out the antique carousel, ferris wheel and Wild West stunt show, too!

Sweet Endings

It’s not all tricks this October, especially if you head to the Nightfall at Old Tucson. With 4.5 out of 5 pumpkin ratings by last year’s visitors, this stop is suitable for “some children” who are accustomed to ghoulish games. Live shows, terrifying haunts, and a slew of live characters make this one of the best shows in town. Now in its 26th year, the Magic of the Macabre performance, Psychomania, the human brain experience and the Fertile Ground camping experience are just a few of the “offerings.”

Zombie House of Tucson boasts five full pumpkin ratings thanks to their challenge: Can you make it through the Zombie house to the evacuation site?

Where will your spooky weekend begin?
